Well, you got your SD card inserted in your PC from your Gopro and you realize that editing is a must for some pictures. Rather it is contrast, brightness, color - you will not always get a perfect shot when just shooting. These shots may be do to settings on the camera, or just the overall lighting outside.
I have played with my settings so much to get an idea of what they will do under many conditions. I will post that in a future blog with pictures of several setting types in the same setting.
I have resorted often to editing and coming out with very pleasant pictures. I love creativity, so I like enhancing my pictures to give them a different feeling.
I believe part of creativity also comes with these editor programs. If you like the shoot and keep, that is great! But, for me, I am willing to see how far I can go with it to change the feeling or expression in the picture.
Well, I am a big Adobe Fan, but as of late - I have really enjoyed using Cyberlink Photo Director. It has given me some awesome results! My above banner was just a simple shot of the woods. I messed with certain settings on my camera, took several shots. After I got my shot, I took it into Cyberlink to enhance it more and it just gave it a very interesting picture.
So with that said, I would love to share some of my shots with my Gopro Hero 4 Silver and then my enhancements. Don't get me wrong, if you got the right camera settings with the right outdoor lighting, Gopro speaks for itself with no edits needed!
This is with Protune on, 100 ISO, Burst Shot 30. In this picture without the edit the dragonfly is almost unnoticeable. The dragonfly had been sitting on his arm float and took flight.
My son at the playground on a huge tire swing. This shot on Protune, ISO 100, 5500 White Balance.
In this picture our boy is going down to daddy to see if he can fly his kite. In this picture, I shot at 5500 White Balance 100 ISO, Protune. It gave the pretty blue skies, but with some low lighting it didn't capture as much detail in everything else.
I used Cyberlink with this edit. I used a HD feature which made the dragonfly pop. I also used another filter which totally changed the feeling of the picture. Someone said it gave it a Sci-Fi effect.
In this picture you can see the sky was enhanced as well as the coloring on his face and clothes. I love what HD does to a picture!
In this shot, I used Cyberlink again to edit, and used a filter called "Vibrant Scene". It just popped all the colors. I love this picture because it looks like a painting!
